Reconnect with God​
It's really common for people to feel far from God. Maybe it's because you walked away from him and now he's calling you home. Maybe you made a big mistake. Maybe you went through some awful suffering. Or maybe you've never really experienced his presence for yourself at all.

The good news is that God sees you, knows you and loves you just the way you are.
​
He wants to be back in relationship with you even more than you want it.
​
And he's not like an angry father, wanting to bring judgment. He's a loving father, waiting to embrace you when you run home to him.
Does that seem impossible? Well, check out this story that Jesus told about someone who went as far away from their father as it was possible to go. We are like the boy in the story, and God is like the Father. He can't wait to welcome us back. Jesus died and rose again so that we could reconnect with him, no matter what we've done wrong.

If you need to reconnect with God today, here's three things to do:

1) Read that story Jesus told. Really, read it. Ask God to speak to you and show you how much he loves you.
​
2) Pray this prayer (out loud is best): Father God, I'm crying out to you today. I need you in my life. I confess I've been far from you. I've turned my back on you. I've sinned in so many ways. Thank you that you love me just as I am. Thank you that you're waiting for me with open arms. So right now, I run to you. I turn away from all the wrong things I've done. I give my life to you. I surrender everything. Wash me clean as I put my trust in Jesus. Thank you that he died and rose again for me. I receive his total and complete forgiveness now. Father, send your Holy Spirit now to fill me. Come and flood my heart with your presence, joy and love. I want to live every day so close to you again. Thank you Lord!
